Bao Bei Reading Wonderland.. any good?
Okay. Since Ethan’s reading in English is progressing well, we thought of sending him for Chinese lessons. I am a bit sceptical (being a banana, I’m afraid he might not be able to cope). But I heard that the best age to learn a new language is before the child turns 6 years old.
We are looking high and low for a reputable and reliable centre when the obvious came to mind – Bao Bei Reading Wonderland. I know nothing, NOTHING at all when it comes to teaching Chinese so I’m appealing to experienced mothers out there. Is Bao Bei any good? Or do you have any other recommendations for us to try? I’ve contacted Bao Bei and they are giving out FREE trial for a week. I don’t mind sending Ethan for the trial lessons and see how it goes but I’m still open for other suggestions.
Please let me know aye? We are looking for places somewhere around Kota Damansara. Thank you.
I have no idea at all. But our family will teach mandarin on our own lar. :) Perhaps you can teach on your own too?
Be careful… Saw somebody's post on a nursery or school in Cheras. The poor boy came home all battered up! My daughter went to a Chinese kindy here and she picked up this sentence: "Kui chai na pian!" (Kneel over there!)
Tekkaus – i dont speak nor read mandarin or any other Chinese dialects so I wont be able to coach Ethan in this field :(STP – I'm not sending him to nursery, i'm looking for enrichment classes instead. BaoBei is one n da half hours daily.. But i have yet to visit the location lah. Just liased thru phone…
Heard of Bao Bei, quite an establish Mandarin learning centre. All the best ya!

I am also a banana..no nothing about Mandarin..Its good to let Ethan learn Chinese.
Sorry no comment Bananaz also sangkut here. Got a feeling it should be OK sad thing is they would not accept adults will want to learn too haha..
Hi Merryn, my daughter who turns 5 this Nov has been attending Bao Bei for the past 1.5 years. My personal experience is that it's a good start especially for non-Chinese speaking kids. They use flashcards quite a lot.
