Feeding Lories at KL Bird Park

It took us 3 times to get it right! OK, so maybe I was the ever so bodohs one. The first time we went to KL Bird Park, we were not aware of lories feeding hence we did not feed anything except watch the eagles being fed with white mice. The second time we went to KL Bird Park, Kimmy reminded me to make sure Ethan feed the birds and proudly I let him feed the peacocks! Only after reading my post Kimmy told me he was not talking about peacocks but lories instead! @_@
So on the last day of 2010, we went to the Bird Park again. This time I was determine to get it right!
The first thing that greeted us was this proud peacock
Tried to photograph Ethan with the peacock but it was so proud that it showed us its derriere! :P
Ethan touched it and it ran away..
Then we saw this BIG fella! Ethan went so near to it that we had to pull him back. Darling was afraid it might peck Ethan with its long beak and thank goodness he did because soon after, we saw it pecking a couple of 8 year old kids!
Ethan and the fish food (RM1). He was excited to go feed the fish!
And he did. Watch this video of him feeding the fish

While feeding the fish we saw this duck sleeping with a leg up and the head tucked underneath its wing. Sweet! :)

The highlight of the day – Lories feeding!

He paid RM2 for the milk

Feeding lories. Aww.. so cute! :D I expect him to be afraid, but he is not. Thank goodness the lories did not fly all over him or I’m sure he’ll be overwhelmed!

See the bird at the far right?

Do you see the similarity between that bird and Eric? LoL! Both also ‘Feng-tau-ing’ (shaking head in ecstasy). And I just can’t get over Kelvin‘s dreamy grin there.. wonder what his hand was doing to Eric behind Carol! No wonder Eric was in ecstasy! :P
Ooops sowwie, back to the Bird Park…. ^_^
I can’t remember when or how the lories took over the milk from Ethan!
Here’s a video of Ethan feeding the lories milk :D
He was so calm throughout and left the place a very happy boy :)
See.. he so sayang the lory dy :D
Ethan imitating flamingo
With our mission accomplished, we were ready to leave. But as usual, to leave we have to go through the gift shop. That is the only EXIT point. We did not buy anything during our first two trips but this time we bought something for Ethan as he loved it very much!

Watch this video to see what we got him :D

We bought that alligator at RM20
At home, Ethan remembered other animals at the gift shop and requested us for more, especially the shark. That was the reason why when I met up with my tweeps the other day, Ethan wanted to sell his alligator to Witch because I told Ethan if he managed to sell off his alligator, he’ll be permitted to buy the shark. Unfortunately, he failed to sell his alligator :(
He was disappointed and even tried to sell his alligator to strangers on our way home! Darling felt a tinge of ‘kesian-ness’ and drove us to KL Bird Park straight from our lunch with the tweeps.
Now, he has the giraffe (RM15), the alligator AND the dinosaur (RM20) :D He is still determine to sell the alligator to get his shark!

hahahaha … I can't help laughing out loud when I see the 2 'feng-tau' pictures above!!! Wuahahahahahaha!!This is such a nice place coz you can actually get up close and personal with all the birds there! I don't like those park where we have to stand yards behind the bars or look hard with our eyes just to see where the birds are!
