Sunway Lagoon Night Park

Remember we attended Peter Pan the Musical @ Sunway Lagoon Amphitheatre? If you don’t, you can read about them here and here.
Anyway, the reason I mentioned Peter Pan again is because the passes (pic above)  that got us into the Amphitheatre last month also doubles as passes into Sunway Lagoon Nite Park and redeemable for Cash Vouchers.

Though we went to catch Peter Pan the Musical last month, we only had the time to go to the Nite Park on Christmas night, of all night a night that clashes with the Double Trouble Concert (of Search and Wings) @ Sunway Lagoon! The crowd outside Sunway Lagoon entrance was crazy and we almost changed our mind but then we were told that we could use a different entrance to enter Sunway Lagoon for the Nite Park. Yeay!

It was slightly over 8pm and we went ahead and redeemed our Nite Park entry passes – 4 passes (2 more for a couple of our friends who were still caught in the jam!)
together with Cash Vouchers worth RM40
Decisions, decisions… Where should we head to first?
More attractions… it’s gonna be an awesome night!
First stop – Wagon Wheel
Ethan was immediately attracted to the Wagon Wheel
RM5 per ride on the Wagon Wheel
Darling and Ethan about to board the Wagon
Ethan soaking in the beautiful night view of Sunway from up above on the Wagon Wheel
He really loves the ride on the Wagon Wheel… I on the other hand.. haha.. ok.. nevermind.. Kids will love this ride :P
The friendly staff member giving his two thumbs up.. to US! LoL :P
Next stop – The Tiger Cafe
Darling wanted to buy something to eat so we went to the Tiger Cafe. But being the Double Trouble Concert night, all the burgers and hotdogs were SOLD OUT! Bummer! And it was only 8 something at night!

We ended up with 2 cups of sweet corn @ RM4 each
The balloon sword
This balloon dude caught Ethan eating corn and came over to shape a balloon for him. Still in the Peter Pan mood, Ethan requested for a sword :D
There, a balloon sword for Ethan :)
The picture
Just after getting hold of his sword, Ethan ran towards this group for a picture! Cute! My boy is more sociable lately :D
The LOST friend
After taking the group picture, Ethan and Darling continued eating their corn when our friend finally called us telling us that they are finally here. Poor them, they were caught in the jam :P
I went to the entrance to meet and give them the NitePark passes.
The Carousel
It was already 9 something when our friends arrived so without wasting more time, we headed straight to the Carousel. Ethan loves the white horse!
The Carousel – RM5 per ride too. Both Ethan and his friend Yi Jing did not have enough of the ride so after the first ride was over, they got a second ride and Ethan insists to sit on that same white horse while Yi Jing opt for a smaller horse :D
The Vulture
After the Carousel we headed to the Vulture. Oooooo Ethan loves this! It reminds him of the ride in Jurassic Park, Universal Studio Singapore not too long ago. RM5 for this ride too.
The Tiger
The highlight of the night has got to be the TIGER! We saw the tiger! SO BIG! Everybody gasped, “So BIG!” upon seeing the tiger. It was really big and I was a little intimidated by it!
Another equally huge tiger was sound asleep.. or was it not?
The tomb
I stumbled upon a tomb near Scream Park. Needless to say, I hurried my way out of there!
FunWorld
It was already 10pm and our last stop is the Fun World
Each game at the Fun World is RM4. Ethan trying to catch some ducks here
Darling trying to burst as many balloons with the darts
We won this blue rabbit :D
By eleven o’clock, the kids were tired and so were the parents! We had a great time at Sunway Lagoon Nite Park. If only we had more time.
I like the Night Park concept. For once we don’t have to sweat under the sweltering heat and it is less crowded too (maybe because not many people are aware of the Night Park). It was fun taking our leisurely stroll in the park without the scorching Sun to melt us down.
The all-new ‘Nite Park @ Sunway Lagoon’ where the fun continues on long after sunset! What’s more, from 18 December 2009 to 3 January 2010, entrance will be absolutely FREE!

I would never go to Sunway again as long as I live…since I slid off the slippery steps and sat down – and broke my arm. Went to Assunta for emergency treatment…and to the Sibu General Hospital when I flew back the next day…and to a private hospital in Kuching for surgery when it did not heal. Wrote to Sunway… and they paid me RM200 for what I spent at Assunta plus 10 free entrance tickets – I threw them all away.So whoever is going there – take care and hope accidents will not happen. They only want your money and just do not care about you.
