Sneak preview of Peter Pan the Musical @ Amphitheatre, Sunway Lagoon

Remember I blogged about me going to meet the Cast & Crew of Peter Pan the Musical? Today, a bunch of us bloggers gathered @ Amphitheatre Sunway Lagoon for the much anticipated behind-the-scene (BTS) look at Peter Pan the Musical.

We took the train to the Amphitheatre. Do take note that audiences will be driven to the Amphitheatre in a Peter Pan Express to the Neverland. How cool is that? :D
Bloggers getting ready for more
One of the hallmarks of Peter Pan the Musical at Sunway Lagoon is the collaborative effort between a prestigious Malaysian venue and set stage together with an International West End cast, crew and creative team. This is a very rare commemorative showcase of local and international artistic talent; using West End theatrical direction,” said Aaron Soo, Chief Executive Officer of Sunway Lagoon.

The performance
We were treated to a sneak preview of the musical and from what I saw, I’m totally awed! As usual, I don’t like to be awed alone so here is the video recording of what made my jaw dropped! (and totally in LOVE with Peter Pan! He’s so cute I tell you!). Watch the part Peter Pan mentioned “Sunway Lagoon!” Totally AWESOME!

If you are already impressed, imagine this – Peter and Wendy will be ‘flying’ on the actual musical performance so expect MORE!

Captain Hook and Smee :D Tick, tock, tick, tock… Be prepared to be gobbled up by crocodiles!
The Cast & Crew
The principal cast members of the musical – Peter Pan, Wendy, Captain Hook and Smee all hail from the London West End scene. Directed by Chris Colby and choreographed by David Kort, whom are West End veterans themselves, audiences will be set to experience a world class musical extravaganza in a unique, never before experienced, location.
NOW, be prepared to drool and ENVY all you want as here are the AMAZING Cast & Crew of Peter Pan the Musical with… yours truly :P
The extremely cute and youthful looking Peter Pan
Peter Pan, Captain Hook, ME, Wendy and Smee :D
Choreographer David Kort and I. This is what you get when you put the Super Short a.k.a ME and the Super Tall a.k.a David together!
Captain Hook and I. It’s not easy going around with that facial expression eh?
Smee and I. He was soaking wet! LoL!
Peter Pan, Wendy and I in Wendy’s bedroom :D
The Q & A Session
After the photography session, we got to mingle with the Cast & Crew and ask them anything! They are such a friendly bunch of people and their passion for performing is very obvious. They have a very good work ethic that even Aaron, the CEO of Sunway Lagoon applauds.
Peter Pan gesturing how he will FLY!
The Stage and Settings
Let’s take a look at the set – designed and created by Sunway Lagoon’s very own in-house, design team who adapted the ethereal traits of Neverland.

Colourful and vibrant, this unique stage set is unlike any other
Amidst the lush greenery surrounding the Amphitheatre @ Sunway Lagoon, Peter Pan The Musical is more than just a feast for your senses; it’s a full-packaged experience
I so love their footwear! Peter Pan’s and Wendy’s. They are SO gonna be ‘fashion must have’s! :D
The fans to help keep temperature down
Those are brand new seats! If you have been to the Amphitheatre before you’ll know that they don’t have those chairs previously. It’s so much better with the chairs now, you won’t have people squeezing their butts next to you! :P
The refreshment with Cast & Crew
After the Q&A, we headed to Lighthouse for some refreshment with the Cast & Crew.
We took the train again to Lighthouse. This train will be transformed into Peter Pan Express to the Neverland! I can’t wait!
Lighthouse Beach Bistro
The thirst quenching orange juice
Fries
The Popcorn Chicken that pops in your mouth not in your hand :P Very yummy to my tummy!
Tom Yam Soup to whet your appetite
Fried Koay Teow – surprisingly is very delicious!
Fried noodles – many bloggers said that this was spicy but I don’t think so. I’m a devil when it comes to spicy food :P
Fried rice. Nice too :D
Sausage dish. Thank goodness this was our last dish as I doubt I can take anymore! So filling!
What’s next?
After the event today, I just can’t wait to catch the Gala Premiere of Peter Pan the Musical this coming 26th November 2010. ‘Peter Pan the Musical’ will be staged at Amphitheatre @ Sunway Lagoon from November 26th 2010 until January 2nd 2011.
Our ‘Media’ passes to the Gala Premiere :D
The true essense of the story of Peter Pan is more than just staying young forever. It is about staying true to yourself and having fun…” Chris Colby
In the true spirit of giving this Christmas season, Sunway Lagoon has also urged local homes and associations for the underprivileged to approach them, as they will be allocating them up to 400 seats for every show.
