If your Karipap is very sedap, let’s exchange link!

When I started blogging, I do so because I was darn bored staying at home. Life took a 360 Degree turn when I decided to leave my job and become a Stay At Home Mom. After being at home too long with limited contact to the outside world, I was finally feeling the pinch, the craziness.. the… DESPERATION! So I turned to blogging.
Today, blogging is my passion. I blog about anything under the Sun. I blog about anything that comes across this still crazy brain of mine and of course along the way made countless great blogger friends that eventually became real FRIENDS.
These days, people associate blogging to money making. It’s true that we do earn a little from blogging but in my opinion, don’t let MONEY be the sole intention for blogging.
You need to be passionate about blogging in order to be able to survive the blogging world. Don’t start with the mentality that ‘I wanna quit my day job and earn from blogging’ as that rarely can happen!
One thing many bloggers especially newbies love to do is exchange link . They’ll go around to other blogger’s blog, leave a line or two and tell you that they’ve linked you in their blogroll and please do the same. Well, nothing is wrong in that as that is one of the way we can expand in the blogsphere.
BUT in reality, you’ll need more than just hopping around to survive. You’ll need to have that original, interesting unique content in your blog to be able to attract more and more readers to your blog. THAT is the most challenging part of all.
The conclusion is, if you blog from your heart, it’s definitely going to be an original entry and your CHARACTER is what makes your blog unique in your readers eyes. Stay true to yourself and if you see the money comes rolling in, you know your luck is getting better… so POWER UP and stop writing a one liner, ‘Hari ni saya makan karipap…. sedap!!’ as your blog entry as that is more suitable to be used in Twitter or Facebook!
Gambateh Submerryn, you can do it! *just ignore me.. sometimes I just need to motivate myself* :P

I love blogging! Although blogging is no longer as hot or trendy as 2 years ago, but I still love to blog. Many people had quit blogging. I think they do not have a passion for blogging. You'll know you have the passion when you rather sacrifice sleeping time and TV time to blog! And get little or no money in return. Now that's a true blogger! : )

Yes, many people still don't know how to differentiate between Blogs, Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr. One liner is definitely reserved for Twitter.

So if I get money I am not a true blogger? :p

Thanks for the lecture sis. It's true what you said. I started blogging because of photos. I wanted to show the whole world my photos and I thanked my friend for introducing me to blogging.Money is not my sole motivation to blog. I just need some extra cash to pay up my yearly domain subscription, so I decided to allow nuffnang to show up in my blog. Links? Oh yeah, i don't mind to have links in my blog, including yours. Whatever it is, since I am working, I won't be able to read every single entry people write or visit their blogs on daily basis. But, that doesn't mean i forget them. If only I have more time…Have a nice day.

I'm actually referring to non-bloggers who suddenly wanna start blogging because they think that they can earn millions from it and then end up writing 'hari ini saya makan karipap… sedap' that's all.. n then the next day writes, 'i bumped into him today.. he ruined my day!' that's it!AND… expect us to exchange link with them! I don't click ppl's url just to read THAT!! That is sooooo for Twitter! Right or not?

Haha…I love this post, Merryn!^^ It's witty and humourous at the same time. xDI agree that we have to have the passion to blog and being original at the same time. Money isn't the main thing, really. I earn very little from blogging. Haha! :PMy ultimate satisfaction comes when I'm able to see the smiles and joy on my readers' faces when they read my posts in my blog~ It certainly is very rewarding! :)Life is actually beautiful and is to be enjoyed by all thus I love to spread some cheer and happiness through my blog to everyone, no matter who or where they are.Cheers!^^ XOXO~ ;)
