Wind deflectors
Drivers out there, can you tell me what’s that in the picture shown above? I’ve always wondered why cars have them and what they are for. I’m an idiot when it comes to cars and their accessories and even more of an idiot when it comes to driving them!
And then Darling got a task to test several cars on highway to see if they emit loud noises. Driving on ordinary city roads won’t make much difference until we got into the highway when the sound is noticeably louder.
That was when we were told to review wind deflectors and I was like, “Darling, what’s wind deflectors?” Upon further studies I found out that a wind deflector is an automobile accessory typically attached to the front hood, sunroof and window areas of a car. Deflectors attached to the front hood generally protect a vehicle from damage due to flying debris. Wind deflectors attached to the window and sunroof areas are generally used to allow fresh air ventilation while keeping the occupants of the vehicle protected from the elements.
An excellent wind deflector will help to reduce wind noise and air turbulence. It also keeps rain and wind from getting into the vehicle. It’s amazing how some great cars fares differently when driven with different types of wind deflectors. I’ll never under estimate the function of the often neglected deflectors again.

me know ZERO about car!!! mwahahaha
Oh we did installed the wind deflectors for our ex-car – Kenali. A bigger & wider piece of it as it can lower the air sound we the vehicle go fast. Kenali is too square on top till it block the wind flow and hence loud noise. Other that that I know nothing haha.
Install bigger wind deflectors the car turned into a flying car..ha ha ha!
This is the 1st time i heard about it XD
Haha
And some of them are lousy. It will detach if it is not properly installed.
