Kedai Kopi Khoong, Sea Park
PJ folks will definitely know this place. Located at the corner of junction Jalan 21/19 and Jalan 21/22 Sea Park, it has been there for ages!
I remembered the first time I went there was in 1997 with Darling. Well, that time he was not my Darling yet lah! He was my colleague and we went there with the rest of our colleagues. My first impression? Err.. can’t remember :P
But people kept telling me that the Tong Sui (dessert) there is very good! Must try!
So last weekend we went there again to refresh my ailing aging memory :P Darling got me this yam cake.
He also got this glutinous rice. Very bland! Thank goodness for the fragrant peanuts!
Noodles and rice vermicelli aka meehoon~lah. I need lots of chilly to go with this!
My ginkgo barley dessert. I’d say nice because it’s not sweet. (Not a fan of sweet stuffs) Others will call it ‘tasteless‘
Darling’s Bubur Cha Cha. He said “OK” :D I don’t fancy bubur cha cha as I don’t like potatoes :P
Overall I find the food mediocre. I’ve eaten better elsewhere. But plus point must be given for sentimental value :P It brought back fond memories of the time when I was much younger! This time, instead of colleagues, we have Ethan with us :D
The menu and price
I believe I have eaten at this kopitiam before. The tong sui stall is very familiar…although I didn't check to see the name of the kopitiam the last time I was there. But I remembered seeing kampar fish balls. The tong sui is good isn't? They also sell yam cakes and chee cheong fun if I remember correctly.
next time if u happen to drop by ipoh, u must try the best one here.. sure super good one! :)
Eh the signboard said Kampar Fish ball noodles and yet you didn't try that? :P I'm from Kampar leh.. give face a bit… :P LOL!
I was in KL recently n my sis wanted to get that dessert for me but too bad it was closed on that night..
You don't like potatoes, don't like sweet things…and what was it you said you do not like the other time…cheese? Gosh!!! Pretty hard to feed you hor… Coincidentally, my post today is on green beans – all in the family. LOL!!!
