"FREE Beryl’s Chocolate Buffet!"

What? The life’s sinful little pleasures is good? Definitely!

Chocolate is made from plants, which means it contains many of the health benefits of dark vegetables. These benefits are from flavonoids, which act as antioxidants. Antioxidants protect the body from aging caused by free radicals, which can cause damage that leads to heart disease. Dark chocolate contains a large number of antioxidants (nearly 8 times the number found in strawberries). Flavonoids also help relax blood pressure through the production of nitric oxide, and balance certain hormones in the body.
Chocolate also provides endorphins, which act like natural opiates in treating chronic pain. Endorphins also bring on a relaxed state of mind, enable more oxygen to reach our inner blood supply and even improve our memory. Seratonin, a neurotransmitter is found in chocolate and works in our body as an anti-depressant.

OK, so why am I suddenly interested in chocolates? Because I’ve just visited Pete’s blog (You know that blog that always makes you drool and HUNGRY?!) and I saw THIS:
FREE BERYL’S CHOCOLATE BUFFET
Where : No 8, Jalan 9/1, Seksyen 9, 43650, Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor, Malaysia.

Date : 28th May 2010 to 30th May 2010

My first reaction? Can DIE~leh! Imagine stuffing yourself with unlimited chocolates! I think I’ll knock out after only TWO rounds! lol.. For those chocolate lovers out there though.. go ahead and have a jolly good time :D

A word of precaution though : It is said that chocolate is an aphrodisiac. Like any aphrodisiac, don’t take more than you can handle.. Or you’ll have SLEEPLESS night all night long! Wink! Wink! :P

I went there at 4pm just now, a very long queue probably two hundred pax. Each person is allocated with one tiny "disposable sauce plate" which basically fits 5 pcs of chocolate. There is only ONE counter that serve the "buffet" (what a joke) which serve 6 diff types where each person is entitled to one each. Cannot even take extra one piece. No praline chocolate was served, just simple type that can be obtained from Mydin, Giant, Tesco, and etc. What a let down!!!!!Folks, do not be conned by Beryl on their so called free Buffet. Btw, you can wait for another 30 to 40 minutes again by joining the tail-end of the new queue if you want a second round of the buffet. Most people end up just buy the chocolate (pralines, nuggets, etc – none of these items are available on the buffet counter but available from their store). What a great tactic to cheat customers to go all the way to their place.

I wouldn't go for a choc buffet. It would be too much…to stomach all that chocolates! :)
