CHARM Cheerleading Championships 2010 @ 1 Utama, KL
I was in 1Utama on Friday and heard sweet voices cheering with synchronised clapping and the crowd going wild. It was the participants of the CHARM Cheerleading Championships 2010 practising
This is my first time seeing cheer leading done ‘live’
Not bad at all! I’d say the participants did a very good job. The actual championships are on the 29-30 May 2010.
I was too engrossed watching the girls being tossed and launched into mid-air that I totally forgot about my camera. I was actually holding it in my hand but.. you know how sometimes you can get ‘distracted‘ right? I saw one team that is really, really good. I shall not name them here yet~lah, ok?
After all the adrenaline rush and my heart rate back to normal (was pounding like mad watching them; afraid they might fall flat on their faces should any of the members failed to catch them!) I remembered my camera and managed to record these girls. No launching into air though..

I once saw a girl being toss in a practice and broke her nose when she falls. But she immediately return to practise after she recovered. All this is sweat and blood.

These days, they have all sorts of things…not like the time when I was young – but those days, we had great names in football, in badminton…so many things. Looks like a case of "jack of all trades, master of none".

Cheerleading seemed to be the in-thing these days. Hardly ever hear of cheerleading in M'sia couple of years back.
