Aquaria KLCC

We went to Aquaria KLCC the only state-of the art 60,000 sq. ft. aquarium right in the heart of beautiful Kuala Lumpur City last Sunday. The usual admission fee is RM35 for adult with MyKad. But we got our tickets during the last MATTA fair at RM20 only per adult :)

The first thing we saw as we entered were the piranhas. Don’t play a fool here, can you see skeletons all over? Scary.. *shivering with fear* :P
Ethan got the opportunity to pet the sharks. He was so happy and not at all afraid of it :)
The shark, sea cucumber and electric cat fish. I personally love sea cucumber. Want to know why? Let me share some facts about sea cucumber…

Sea cucumbers are sausage shaped, and their skin is covered with warty bumps or soft spines. When threatened, cucumbers can contract their muscles and shoot out water from their body making them shorter, thicker, and harder. Some can even shoot out their insides and then go and grow new insides. Now tell me who doesn’t love a cucumber like that? :P

If you think Aquaria is all about fish, think again. There are butterflies, beetles and many more non-swimming creatures there.
A Brazilian Salmon Pink Tarantula. Obviously this fella have NOT tried Brazilian wax before. It is so hairy! If you don’t already know what is Brazilian wax, let me share with you what it is. I’m feeling ‘smart’ tonight, so I’m sharing lots of facts :D A Brazilian wax is the pubic hair removal or pubic epilation, commonly called bikini waxing. It is the epilation of body hair in and around the pubic region, most commonly by females, by the use of wax.

Oh, these must be the BIGGEST tadpoles I’ve ever seen in my life! See Ethan’s chubby hand and compare it to them. Have you seen such big tadpoles in your life? I wonder how big a frog they’ll grow up to be!
Ethan loving the turtle…
We got to see the professional divers feeding the fish. The diver giving a thumb’s up sign after the feeding session :)

Here are some videos to share :)
A video of Ethan up close and personal with the shark…

A video of the diver feeding the turtle…

The diver feeding the stingray…

Here’s a look around the travelator

We "petted" different sea creatures when we went there last year. I still find the admission fee pricey… nothing much to see. Luckily the travelator part saved the day. We went on it again and again and again baru puas hehe!
