Uncle Sam’s – Great Wall

If in my previous post I was happily saying that I enjoyed my meal in Dome’s, I have something else to say on the meal I had in Uncle Sam’s, Subang 2. I tried their seafood noodle before and it was way too pricey. This time we decided to go for dishes instead.
I hardly eat out on weekdays but since I started work, I kind of skipped cooking once in a while. The other day, after my class at 8.30pm we headed straight to this place for dinner.
We ordered claypot tofu and vege
Steamed fish. What fish is this? I don’t know.. I think Patin.. or whatever… not mermaid.. 
Bittergourd soup. They said it was complementary with any rice dish..
Herbal tea
Taste wise, ok~lah. Can’t be too cerewet also. But.. The bill came out to RM49.30! So pricey right? For just the two of us… Crazy Uncle Sam’s. But still, if you go during lunch and dinner, this place is always so crowded. I guess good eateries are severely lacking in Subang 2 vicinity.

lucky i only order fried rice the other day.Yup i had their Seafood curry mee two years back. Not bad la. wei…you want cheap go a bit further to Sg Buloh Kampung. A lot of makan shops there and price quite cheap.

yes, patin fish.. they hv 2 types.. those sold in tesco are so darn cheap whereas in the wet market, the patin are more expensive. not so sure why like tat one.. patin can be quite costly in restaurants.. yes, a lot of fish oil esp at the gills side there.. betul?

The Vietnamese Patin or catfish is our local equivalent of Patin. The Vietnamese Patin fillet is sold in supermarket and they are cheap. You just marinate and grill them and they tasted very good. I blogged about it not long ago cos the supermarket here called them Alaskan Fillet which is totally untrue.

Yup! That's patin. Don;t like…too fat, sometimes geli-geli when makan. Very expensive some more…

yes..this uncle sam is famous for being pricy..but still lot ppl makan especially lunch hr..probaly lack of place to makan as u said after all is located nearby the industrial area
