You never really learn to swear until you learn to drive

Whoever said, “You never really learn to swear until you learn to drive” must be one heck of a genius. Now.. if only there are other geniuses out there who can tell me something else.. What the heck about men, driving, directions, getting lost and asking for directions?!
For all I know, men will drive like they always know where they are heading. And when they get lost, they’ll NEVER show or tell that they are lost. They’ll NEVER stop to ask for directions. Instead, they’ll go round and round and back to square one. They’ll go on forever like that… instead of making that quick stop at the nearest petrol station to ask for directions. And when they remained lost, they’ll start cursing and swearing behind the wheels, hence the saying, “You never really learn to swear until you learn to drive” (of course other factors such as traffic jams and queue cutting contributed to the swearing in other occasions too~lah!)

Alright, so what if I don’t drive? If driving makes a person so unbearable, so hot-tempered, then I’d rather not drive! But then again, being the passenger and having to tolerate that nonsense is not too great a deal either! Then I better learn to drive.. but before I do that…

I want to come out with my OWN saying, “I’ll never learn to drive until I first learn to swear!” Now people on the road, you guys better watch out! The sub-merryn will emerge and you’ll see me cruising (cursing) on the road instead… one day! :D

Watch out! Do NOT swear when baby's in the car. I used to do that a lot. Then once, my dad and mum came and took my daughter – then only a toddler – out in their car. When they came back, they asked me what I had been teaching the kid. I asked them why…and my dad said that they were driving behind a very slow car, and suddenly my daughter shouted, "Stupid woman! Bloody fool!!!" Hahahahahaha!!!

  • //

dont worry… if you cannot find the way… use GPS! it is good invention!Just a time to learn… Gabateh!mmm… dont say all the men like that lo :9

  • //

Haha… don't be so angry la. That place memang very hard to find wan. Next time we go The Curve or 1U ok?? :-D

  • //

No need to learn to swear, Merryn.like everyone been saying, get a GPS.

  • //

I got a GPS when I was in KL a couple of months ago. At first, I have to learn and understand the jargon used by GPS. I was "lost" but the GPS have to "guide" me out. Overall, I find it to be a very useful gadget. When I was younger, I used to drive fast and pressure ran high when someone block my way. Now, I learn to slow down and take it easy. Rushing my whole life is enough lah!

  • //

Curse? hahaha :D And yeah…honk too. Honk if you are a Malaysian? :p

  • //

Cynthia – You shall wait.. until.. the pigs can fly! lol.. claire – Then I better NOT drive? ;PIrene – Wat say you? We both take up driving and scare the heck out of our hubs? :DMummy Gwen – I so admire you can drive anywhere with Gwen! :) I wanna pick up driving again.. but always too scared @_@Lil Lamb – GPS eh? Some guys too ego to even use that leh?

  • //

The most oso is 'bloody fool' :DVoon – Before I learn to use the GPS, I must learn how to drive :Pwenn – Guys kan? *shake head*Chloe – Pai seh, pai seh… lol.. Curve or 1U sure wont sesat one! hahahahasmallkucing – I'll go meow meow instead :DWilliam – Those were the days lah.. when you were an F1 driver :DTekkaus – Oh yeah.. Honk! hehehe..

Someone said "if you put an 'Angel' behind the steering wheel driving around in KL or PJ, will soon transform to Satan" how true? :p

  • //

Bananaz – That is so true! I'm an "Angel" that will soon turn "Devilish" hehehe.. :PMommy Ling – You have to be cool in front of your daughter… be good example, good role model :DEugene – I do not wish to be swearing lah… I am a good girl hahahaha :DVia – I can sensed your excitement rite now.. I'm happy for you too ;)

  • //

Now only I know u don't drive. You are so lucky to your your "personal driver" all this while !!! ;)

  • //

lol agreed. I curse and swear when driving in army :D

  • //

Great citation! I've never understood why my boyfriend is always swearing while driving…until I got my driving license last summer! But I think it doesn't matter if you're a man or a women who's driving, because everybody can be annoyed of several situations in traffic.

  • //

sad to say that i am a road devil *hehe* when you have to face the crazy traffic every day, somehow, we will slowly become a devil too :(

  • //

haha.. you are so funny…but make sure you only swear inside around children. There was one time I got an unreasonable horn and became really angry, I CURSED that person, and drive even slower afterwards, almost got down from my wheel and started a fight… hahaWhat Claire said is quite true.. :) my hubby make sure that I started to drive when we married, cause he can't be my personal driver all the time.He too doesn't like GPS.

  • //

    oh…i think I'm guilty!

  • //

Oh… you cannot drive?I think you can drive but not very well right?GPS is damn good!
