Hot, hot, hot…

On the second day of our stay in Penang, Darling’s friend Chaw Lai took the role of chaperoning us around. We got a morning call from him at 7.30am and forty-five minutes later we were on our way for breakfast.

Chaw Lai, wife Pei Pin and little ZhangJie
We took our breakfast here.
Some of the pictures taken.. Just can’t put up all. We are big eaters. Chaw Lai foot the bill on this one :)
It was very hot in Penang. Well, it is hot in PJ too but it seems extra hot in Penang :D
Needed to keep the kids properly hydrated at all times.Chaw Lai brought his wife, baby, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and her two kids along :D Penang Hill
Kek Lok Si Temple. Ethan feeding the tortoise.
That elderly man in the first pic? He suddenly came and grabbed Ethan away to our horror. I was ready to give him a strong kick (mother’s instinct) when he then hugged and ‘sayang’ Ethan. Just to be safe though, I captured his image :P

Check out the size of that milk bottle (with real milk in it for the offerings). Ethan called it ‘100 ounce milk’ :)
Goddess of Mercy
Our vegetarian lunch at the temple.
The most beautiful fish pond I’ve ever seen. Ethan threw some coins in it. He loves the frog :)
Chaw Lai lead us all the way to Prai for dinner at How Kee Seafood Village at Bukit Tambun. The highlight was on the amra fruit drink. Very appetising and refreshing. Yummy :) Dinner was on him too.
Some of the food served.
After dinner we went to Auto City in Juru where the guys got to feast their eyes on ‘beautiful people’ :P This place is kind of nice. Very modern and full of night life activities :D

We then made our way back to our hotel without Chaw Lai where we got lost for almost 2 hours. By the time we found our way back to the hotel, it was already 1.30am! We had been pampered to pieces the first and second day having friends to guide us around, when it came to surviving on our own, this was what happened :D But it was okay though, we got to drive around Penang!
Coming up next will be my final post on my Penang trip. Yeah, I can hear some of you exclaiming “Thank goodness” already! :P
