ParenThots Family Day
Alrite peeps, by now it’s all over and done. Phew! The initial rain in the morning did not deter us. By nine, it’s all sunny again and we are ready to welcome the visitors
We were one of the first to arrive on location (7.45am). The first thing I saw was the Crafty Crafted sign there and at once I knew that is the place allocated for me. Without wasting time, we began ‘decorating‘ our booth.
The ladybugs and Christmas tree ornaments waiting to be ‘adopted’.
Ethan’s art work being put on display.
Our booth…
My ‘assistant’ helping me with the blog subscription forms.
Me in my booth. My mom’s next to me the whole time. Love you lots, Mummy..
Guess who came to visit? Terry and Yan Yan!
Darling’s friend came to lend their support too..
But most importantly, the ‘backbone’ of everything.. Kimmy, Julie and little Jonathan
Thank you Kimmy (and Julie) for making this possible for me.
I had backache at the end of the event as I was bending all the time guiding the kids in origami. There were moments when I lost my voice too and that was the time they chose to interview me! Talk about right timing!
There was once I was feeling extremely tired but I felt someone ‘supporting’ me to keep on going.. It was like as if there was this ‘invisible force‘ to help me go on
Only laters I found out that that ‘someone’ is Claire {after she sms-ed me telling me that she was there for me morally throughout, all the way from Ipoh!}. Lol Claire.. You broke my hopes~lah! I thought there was some ‘knight in shining armour’ helping me out!
Jokes aside, what have I achieved from this event? I saw parents who never thought that folding origami could be so simple. I saw kids who smiled as they discovered they have folded a piece of paper into something nice. I saw how simple craft can cheer up just about anyone… With that, I think my mission’s accomplished.

Happy to met you in person at the booth…Thanks for the lovely gifts for the kids. It is just so attractive to them, till they cannot hear what I say when ask to look at the camera..I'm sure you spend lot of effort in making, cutting and gluing them 1 by 1.You did a good job…
