The only way I can read the papers

In order to keep him occupied and not disturb me when I am reading, I always have a pen handy to circle words that he knows and let him read it. He finds it fascinating to be able to read words from the newspaper and will at least stay focus on those words for at least a couple of minutes each page. That is enough for me to browse thru interesting topics of the day.
When I am on the comics page, what I normally do is draw funny faces on the comic characters and somehow that tickles his fancy! He will smile or chuckle looking at those funny faces and when he is done, I am done reading too!
