Wheels on walls or anything vertical..
Ethan has come to that stage where he will drag almost anything especially his toy cars onto the wall, mirror, chairs, doors or anything vertical. This new found habit of his is driving me up the wall! Why? Because sometimes his toy cars will leave some unsightly streak marks on the wall or anything that he dragged the car onto. The worst part? He knows that by doing this, he is driving Mommy crazy and will purposely call me and do THAT in front of me with a cheeky grin! He even has the guts to say, “Mommy, catch!”. Indicating that I should run and catch him because that is what his Daddy always do when he sees Ethan doing that… run and catch him and tickle him so that he will stop! Now, this I believe is his cry for more attention.. (like as if I have not given him ENOUGH of THAT!). Sigh…
Hmm.. should I scratch the wall or the mirror? He he he…
Maybe the door will be more fun…
Surely the massage chair will do the trick.. See? Mommy is already looking with the camera in tow!!!
If I can ‘stain’ the wallpaper, Mommy will surely come running!
The sofa is kind of nice, soft and contoured…
Ah.. the kitchen.. Mommy’s favourite place. Surely Mommy will catch me this time… :)
But, at the end of the day, guess who is the winner? ME of course. Why? Because I refuse to give in to his demand and left him there to play by himself. He soon gets bored as he realised that I am not reacting to his mischieves. He soon realised that even leaving a BIG streak on the wall or anywhere else does not bother Mommy and gradually stopped doing that… I am SO thankful for that I tell you. I was eating my heart out when I saw those streaks but told myself to keep my cool and not mention a word about it to Ethan. The whole process of ignoring is very hard, but luckily, it pays off.
